About Us

PZ&W was established in 1994 and is led by Phil Hedley C.Eng, BSc (Hons) FIMechE. Phil has over 40 years’ experience working in communications, broadcast and radar markets. He has particular expertise in the design, analysis and appraisal of wind sensitive structures together with the development of safe systems for working at height.

Based in Salisbury, PZ&W undertakes projects for Clients both throughout the UK and overseas. We ensure the company’s values and work ethic are embraced by all the staff to provide our Clients with a professional and consistent level of support. All projects are led by a PZ&W staff member and run to PZ&W procedures with resources coming initially from within the company but where required supplemented from our approved team of consultants and subcontractors. For all Clients PZ&W operates no-blame culture to ensure that any adverse issues in a project are identified and rectified at the earliest opportunity, minimising delay and cost to the programme.

PZ&W believes in developing our staff and producing the next generation of talented engineers in our specialist area. Our approach to turning graduates into practical engineers is three-fold:

• Codes and Standards – as well as showing how to use then teach them the background behind them.
• Software – using analysis software, understanding the results and recognising where changes to the geometry could improve the design.
• Hands on site work – to understand the good and bad in design and implementation to improve their designs in the future
