Condition Inspections

The team at PZ&W have had many years involvement in the management of communications structures, antennas and sites for clients. We have extensive experience in conducting Condition Inspections and have set up management processes, safe working at height procedures, developed and overseen planned preventative maintenance and reactive works across thousands of sites.

PZ&W Engineers undertake full height climbing surveys of structures, reporting on their condition and specifying any remedial work that may be required. On large estates we would typically to carry out audits on 10% of structures where inspections had been undertaken by the Clients’ own staff or their subcontractors to ensure standards are being maintained. We can also provide training to the riggers that carry out the majority of such work so that they understand what an Engineer looks for in an inspection and how to recognise the severity of a problem such as rusting and report it in a consistent manner.

In addition to the physical inspection of assets, today’s market requires regular audit of processes, procedures and their implementation in order to demonstrate due diligence and reflect the duty of care. PZ&W can provide suitably experienced personnel to carry out independent reviews in either an office environment, on site at ground level or at height to assist the client in meeting his statutory or commercial obligations as well as develop strategies to introduce cost savings whilst sustaining appropriate quality levels.
