Civil / Structural Engineer
PZ&W is a well-established Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy located in Salisbury undertaking the design, appraisal, and inspection of a range of structures for the communications, broadcast and defence markets. We specialise in guyed masts, self- supporting towers, radomes, as well as wide-span and explosives storage buildings.
We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic, and practical thinking civil/structural engineer with strong communication skills to join our team to undertake projects in the UK and overseas. Tasks will be varied including assisting senior engineers in structural design, preparing CAD drawings and, following appropriate training, undertaking climbing inspections of structures up to 100m. We will actively support you in your professional development and provide in-house and external training to develop the specialist skills necessary for this role.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Hold a 2:2 or above in either Civil or Structural Engineering
- Good understanding of the Eurocodes most notably steel, concrete & wind
- Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience of design both hand calculations and FE plus report
writing (preferred) - Motivation to achieve chartered status
- Ability to achieve UK security clearance
